1st Timothy 2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Isaiah 5
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Lord, Your word says, Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.
Woe to those who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.
Woe to those who give themselves to strong drink or drugs, then pretend to lead others in righteousness.
Woe to those who justify the wicked.
Woe to those who justify sin and death for the glory of money.
Woe to those who justify sin and death for the glory of the world.
Woe to those who justify sin and death for the satisfaction of the flesh.
Heavenly Father, we know that the days are evil and the time is near. As evil multiply on this earth, we ask that You will touch the heart and mind of every leader.
Father, we lift the local, state and federal leaders before You.Â
We ask that You give these leaders wisdom and an understanding heart to lead.
Remove pride, greed, foolishness, and darkness from their eyes, for it is written that if their eye be evil then their body will be full of darkness, and only You know what that darkness will drive them to say and do.
Dear God, bless these leaders with the Light of Glory that they may be wise leaders, in Jesus' name.
