Beware Of False Prophets

Matthew 23

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men (with your lies):

for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that trying to serve God to enter in.

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer:

therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation (because you used your position to scatter God's flock).

15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

for you go out of your way to find and convert one proselyte to your faith, and when you have found him, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

for you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the true meanings of the law;

you omit the true meaning of the judgment of God;

you omit the true meaning of the power of God's mercy,

you omit the true meaing of faith in the Almighty:

these you should have taught and done, instead of wasting time using the word of God to encourage people to give to you.

24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat by convincing yourselves that your behavior is a small thing that God will overlook,

and you swallow a camel by deceiving innocent people to believe that they will enter the kingdom of God by obeying your sinful instructions.

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

for you make clean the outside of your life with titles and fashions,

but within your heart is full of extortion, manipulations, deceit, and death.

2 Peter 2:1

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,

who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,

even denying the Lord that bought them,

and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

(and if you unite yourselves with them, then the same "swift destruction" will fall upon you.

Beware Of False Prophets.

Remember, The Lord Jesus Christ Is Your Shepherd.

Follow Him, and you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
