I will never forget that Friday evening, September 22, 1989.

As Hurricane Hugo pounded South Carolina, I hurried home from work to end a fast.

As I sat down to eat, it suddenly happened.

Whoa! I suddenly experienced a vision of hell!

I was not tired or sleepy when I saw a massive flame of fire.

The flame was so massive that it could not be quenched, even if it were possible for an ocean to be poured upon it.

Worst of all, there were people inside of that flame, and they were ALIVE!

The people in the flame were gnashing their teeth for a vain hope of relief.

It was as if I was allowed to look at the damned through a window for seven seconds.

That night was the beginning of many questions about the mysteries of death.
